Costume Designer Sarah Quillian

Sarah known as Adella in the cosplay world, is not only one of the cast members of The Zelda Project’s cosplay segment, but is also the Costume Designer and visionary behind the entire thing. Having been a fan of Legend of Zelda since childhood, her dream has always been to do an elaborate project based around the series.

Her career in costume designing began with simply cosplaying, where she discovered her talent as a seamstress, and her ability to bring to reality the strange shapes of anime/game characters thought only to be possible on paper. Legend of Zelda was always her main focus in fandom--despite her notoriety for her portrayals as Aeris Gainsborough of Final Fantasy 7--and it was a Zelda fan film that eventually pushed her to pursue a career in costume design. Secretly inspired by the idea of being able to work on Zelda film, she began her design career by attending the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Completing a 3 year degree program in Film/TV Costume Design, she worked on several small independent films before taking matters into her own hands. If she could not find a Zelda project to be a part of, then she would make one herself.
